I just can’t seem to keep up with the amount of laundry that my little man creates.
Being that it is really cold around here I layer him up, hence all the laundry.
I decided to sew him a few new reglan sweatshirts with a self drafted pattern and since I couldn’t find printed sweatshirt fabric, I had to print some myself.
I do not have stamping equipment so I improvised with stamps that I cut out of foam and masking tape for the stripes! pretty neat huh!
The one with the stars and stripes is my favorite, I love the combination of white grey black and turquoise.
This polar bear print one is dark grey and navy blue with whitish greyish polar bears.
All I did was print a polar bear image I found online, stick it on to crafting foam, cut them both out together, and make a little handle from a few layers of foam. Not very conventional but it works for me.I also added a little triangle at the top on this one.
this one is grey with mustard sleeves and white stripes
As you can see the sleeves are too long on all of the sweatshirts… I should have tried one on before making him two more. oh well.. they will fit him for a longer time.
I played around with the width of the cuffs and hems so each one is a bit different.
I went over all the seams with a double needle for a more finished look.
Have a nice weekend.
